01What never reaches us

This is a property of how the software is built, not a promise about how we behave. AlgoSutra runs entirely on your hardware, so the following never leave it, and there is no code path by which we could receive them:

• Your broker credentials, API keys and session tokens.
• Your orders, positions, fills and P&L.
• Your market data, strategies and their parameters.
• Your card details — those go to Razorpay, never to us.

02What we do collect

• Your email address and chosen installation name, given at registration, so we can issue and support your licence.
• Licence records — which plan, issued when, expiring when.
• Check-in metadata, if your installation contacts us: an opaque installation fingerprint, the product version and the time. This tells us a licence is in use and on which version. It contains nothing about your trading.
• Payment metadata from Razorpay: a payment identifier, the amount and the plan. Not your card.
• Trial anti-abuse records — for each trial request, the email address it was for and a salted one-way hash of the network address it came from, never the address itself. This is what stops one person taking an unlimited supply of free licences. A digest counts exactly as well as an IP does and leaves nothing worth stealing in the table.
• Ordinary server logs from Cloudflare when you visit this site, retained briefly for security and diagnostics.

03Email we send

We send exactly two kinds of message, both strictly transactional and both in direct answer to something you just did: a link to confirm your address when you ask for a trial, and your licence code once you confirm it. There is no mailing list, no newsletter and no marketing — and no way to end up receiving anything without having typed your own address into a form on this site.

The confirmation step exists to make sure a trial goes to somebody who actually owns the mailbox. If a message arrives that you did not ask for, ignore it: nothing is created until the link in it is opened and confirmed.

04Why we hold it

To issue licences, to support you, to prevent abuse, and to meet tax and accounting obligations. We do not sell it and do not share it for advertising.

05Who else processes it

• Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, anti-abuse and the licensing database.
• Razorpay — payment processing, under their own policy.
• Resend — delivery of the two transactional emails above, under their own policy.

06Retention

Licence and payment records are kept while your account is active, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Check-in metadata is kept while it remains useful for support. Unconfirmed trial requests are deleted a week after they expire. Ask us and we will tell you what we hold about you.

07Your choices

Write to hello@algosutra.com to see, correct or delete what we hold. Deleting your registration ends the licence issued against it; records we must keep for tax purposes will remain. Your installation is yours and is unaffected.
